This is a photo from Esther and Harry’s wedding in 1941. Their anniversary was February 9. Mom’s birthday was February 11. Dad taught us to remember the order via A, B. Anniversary first, then birthday. This is just the Smagorinsky side of the family. Perhaps somewhere else we have the Bornstein side? Ed doesn’t recall seeing a Bornstein pix of the wedding, but there must have been one. Uncle Dave shared a backyard fence with us in Canarsie. Uncle Sam lived around the corner. Three brothers and their families living within walking distance.
